Notice for Formate eVo Users
Important Information for Formate eVo Users
When Document Genetics acquired the ownership and development of Formate in 2019, we introduced Formate eVo v21 and modernised several core services, including license activation, software updates, and access to product resources. This allowed us to transition away from the legacy infrastructure previously maintained by Trilogic.
If you are currently using Formate eVo v21 or later, no action is required. Your software already uses our current services and will not be affected by the changes outlined below.
Retirement of Legacy Services
As part of our ongoing platform modernisation, the legacy activation and update servers that support Formate eVo v9.7 and earlier will be permanently retired on 31 July 2026.
After this date, the following Dashboard features in these older versions will no longer be available:
Online license activation
Access to the Formate blog
Software update downloads
Support for Existing Customers
Although these versions are now beyond their supported lifecycle, we remain committed to helping our customers where possible.
If you need to activate a Formate eVo v9.x license after 31 July 2026, our support team can provide manual activation using a challenge code. We can also assist with obtaining any historical updates that may still be required.

Please note that upgrading from Formate eVo v9.x or earlier is not a direct, single-step upgrade path. We recommend reviewing the relevant release notes or contacting our support team before planning an upgrade.
