The new plugin enables Formate eVo to seamlessly interact with ABBYY Vantage throughout the entire document processing lifecycle. Documents can be automatically submitted to ABBYY Vantage for classification and data extraction, while Formate eVo monitors processing status and manages transactions in the background.
Once processing is complete, Formate eVo can automatically retrieve the resulting output files, including XML, JSON, PDF documents, images, and other data formats. This information can then be passed directly into downstream workflows, business applications, document management systems, or wider automation processes.
A Real-World Use Case

A typical end-to-end scenario might look like this:
Formate eVo continuously monitors an email queue for incoming documents, such as PDF sales orders. When a new order is received, it is automatically routed to ABBYY Vantage for intelligent data extraction. ABBYY Vantage captures the key order details, matches them against supplier product codes, and, where required, flags items for additional validation by staff.
Once processing is complete, the enriched data is returned to Formate eVo for downstream automation.
From here, orders follow a defined business path:
Validated orders are automatically published from Formate eVo into the organisation’s ERP system for fulfilment and processing
Orders requiring clarification are routed into a workflow for exception handling and resolution
