On Tuesday of this week (23rd April) Document Genetics ran a full day workshop to a group of customers at their offices in Northampton.

We aimed to make it a productive, interactive and informative day.

We aimed to make it a productive, interactive and informative day. Topics that were covered included:

  • Developing customised portals both for internal users and external partners
  • Creating "Flash Presentation" layers
  • Creating infoRouter workflows
  • Polling POP3 mailboxes - possible applications
  • Scanning documents into infoRouter - from the infoRouter ScanStation through to advanced OCR/barcode recognition using Kodak Capture Pro and Abbyy FlexiCapture
  • Scanning from MFPs into infoRouter
  • Distributing infoRouter across multiple servers
  • Automating the import of data into infoRouter using the infoRouter HotFolders service
  • Classifying and indexing documents - tips and best practice
  • The linking to other systems and the infoRouter API
